Here are exclusive, behind-the-scenes looks at the two theaters featured on Theo’s most recent appearances on HGTV’s Million Dollar Rooms—the brand-new Paradiso and the legendary Ziegfeld. Below are video of his appearances, Theo’s reflections on the Ziegfeld, photo galleries, looks at the new tech featured in both theaters, and an exclusive sneak peek at the soon-to-be-unveiled Rugby Theater.
The Ziegfeld: Then, Now & Beyond
Theo calls the Ziegfeld his first “real” theater—the first theater where his talents and the execution matched his aspirations. Theo Kalomirakis: The Ziegfeld was my third theater. But it was the first theater I did that I thought was worthy of photography.
Michael Gaughn: And it’s now being featured on HGTV, which means it’s stood the test of time.

Theo Kalomoirakis is by far the most talented, unique designer I have ever seen! His aesthetic is beyond belief and watching HGTV last night I was completely mesmerized both by him and his out of this world designs and audio video systems. The father of home theatre title does not do this talented personality justice!
It’s beautiful, I think all home theaters worthy of photographing were only made possible because of your designs. I would be lying if I said my home theater sales didn’t start with sending clients a Theo book to be inspired!!!
Theo, YOU WERE FABULOUS!!!!! Born to be in front of the camera! This is the first time I saw you on TV and it was so much fun and real entertaining to watch you. The theater looked sooo familiar:) I watched it with my 11 year old son and he was speechless and mesmerized. It is an honor to know you, your enthusiasm is contagious, your talent is out of this world, your honesty and attitude are simply amazing. Please let me know about your other TV appearances in the future, I would love to see it. Thank you again for everything you are doing for me.
What can I say more for the Father of Home Theater ? Besides the majestic environments that he’s creating I wish that we could all experience watching our favourite movies inside his creations.
